Anita Dobson burst into the spotlight in the 1980s as Angie Watts, the fiery landlady of the Queen Vic in “EastEnders.” Her explosive scenes with Den Watts, especially that famous Christmas Day episode in 1986, watched by over 30 million people, became soap legend.
Beyond Albert Square, she showed her versatility in theatre and music, releasing the hit single “Anyone Can Fall in Love,” based on the “EastEnders” theme tune, which reached the UK Top 5.
