ROBIN VAN PERSIE EN BOUCHRA ELBALI – EEN VERBOND SINDS 2004
Toen Robin van Persie voor het eerst zijn toekomstige echtgenote, Bouchra Elbali, ontmoette, was hij nog een voetballer in de dop – de tijd van hoge transferbedragen en indrukwekkende salarissen lag nog in het verschiet. Tijdens zijn trainingen in Rotterdam sloeg de liefde toe en maakte hij kennis met de vrouw die zijn levensgezellin zou worden. Samen doorliepen zij zijn professionele ontwikkeling, van zijn eerste stappen bij Feyenoord tot het bereiken van de hoogtepunten in de Engelse Premier League. In 2004 bezegelden zij hun liefde met het huwelijk, en hun gezin is sindsdien uitgebreid met twee kinderen. Hun zoon Shaqueel treedt in de voetsporen van zijn vader op het voetbalveld; hun dochter Dina en Bouchra’s passie voor paarden verrijken het gezinsleven met extra vreugde.
