Laura San Giacomo, oder auch bekannt als Vivian aus Pretty Woman, fing ihre Karriere im Schauspiel an auf kleinen Leinwänden an und nach einem anstrengendem Weg bekam sie ihre Rolle in S**, Lies and Videotape und bekam damit ihren Durchbruch. Seitdem dies passiert ist, hatte sie eine teilweise erfolgreiche Karriere, auch wenn sie hauptsächlich nur noch als Nebenrolle zu sehen ist.
