Fritz Wepper – Derrick, born in 1941

Fritz Wepper is the big brother of Elmar Wepper, who is also an actor. He became internationally known in one of his first films: The Bridge . That was in 1958, the film won several awards. The big television hit came with The Commissioner , where he played his assistant Harry Klein. This role was so well received that after the hit series was discontinued and a new crime series, Derrick , started, it was taken over exactly as it was. During his years at the side of Horst Tappert he also played in the international cabaret productionwith, which won a total of 8 Oscars. He was married to Angela von Morgen since 1979, until her death in 2019. He then moved back to Tegernsee with his former partner, with whom he lived from 2009 to 2012, and their daughter, where he recovered from cancer surgery in March Recovered in 2021.
