Carla Balenda was birthed as Sally Bliss, but she opted to alter her name after being credited as Sally for a few minor acting jobs under RKO productions. Balenda had an issue with the name Sally Bliss as it sounded too cute for her own sense of character, thus the name change. She is most known for The Mickey Rooney Show as Mickey Rooney’s TV love, Pat. It is likely that Carla was able to have good retirement planning as we haven’t really heard a lot from this New York native ever since the late ’60s.
