Most people probably know Simon Cowell from his frank and straightforward attitude as a judge on the talent shows American Idol, Pop Idol, The X-Factor, America’s Got Talent among others. But, what most fans don’t know yet, is that he also owns the mega-successful British entertainment company, Syco Entertainment Limited that reportedly earned €38million in a span of one year.

Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment Limited generated €38,854,398 of profit in just one year

Last year, Cowell’s company earned €38,854,398 in profit. He serves as Syco’s director that runs as a record label, talent agency, and produces music, movies, and TV shows. It has three main branches; the Syco Music, Syco TV, and Syco Film. On one of his shows, the X-Factor, the grand champion gets to sign a recording deal with his company.

Simon Cowell as a Judge

Simon Cowell is known to give blunt comments as a judge on American Idol, X-Factor, and America’s Got Talent

Cowell is famously known to give blunt and direct comments to the contestants on the shows he serves as a judge. He’s the kind of judge that will tactlessly insult the aspiring artists, so, whenever anyone gets a yes from him, feels phenomenal. It’s hard to please him, but he also makes heart-whelming and uplifting remarks. He would even press the golden buzzer for those who truly swept his feet away.

Aside from that, he also looked after the careers of many famous artists such as One Direction, Westlife, and CNCO. It is also not a surprise that Time Magazine hailed him as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. It’s extremely hard to earn Cowell’s approval, but when he believes in you, he’ll make sure that the world knows about your name and your talent.

Simon Cowell's Career

Simon Cowell was raised by a well-heeled family, and is clueless about how to live a regular life

Born on October 7, 1959, the 59-year-old entertainment mogul grew up in a well-heeled household. His fellow star, Amanda Holden, revealed in an interview that Cowell doesn’t have any idea on how to live a regular life. She had to explain to him the purpose of the Bag For Life in grocery stores, and how regular people could save €1 on trolley rebates.

Cowell tried to apply for regular jobs but immediately realized that he was meant to run his own empire after he jumped from one company to another. He started his own company, Fanfare Records alongside Iain Burton, but nearly filled for bankruptcy after the company closed down for business in 1989. He got back on his feet, and collaborated with BMG, and formed S Records.

In 2001, he made his debut as a judge on Pop Idol, and the rest is history. Now, Cowell is one of the most glamorous personalities in the show business and owns several assets including his prosperous Syco Entertainment Limited.
