Daniel Olbrychski i Krystyna Demska są razem od ponad 18 lat. Choć znali się już z czasów szkolnych, Olbrychski przyznaje, że tego nie pamiętał. Ich drogi ponownie skrzyżowały się przypadkowo na imprezie w 1988 roku, gdzie od razu zwrócili na siebie uwagę. Na początku aktor zwracał się do Krystyny per “Pani”, ponieważ nie przypomniał sobie ich wcześniejszej znajomości. Szybko jednak odzyskał wspomnienia, co doprowadziło do kolejnych spotkań. W 2003 roku para wzięła ślub, organizując skromną ceremonię z dala od mediów, aby zachować prywatność. Krystyna wspominała, że założyła się z przyjaciółmi, iż media dowiedzą się o ich ślubie dopiero po uroczystości, co udało im się zrealizować.
