Nagle na horyzoncie pojawiła się znajoma sylwetka. Hanna zawołała, a w jej głosie brzmiało niedowierzanie, gdy układała w głowie nagłą myśl: “Niedźwiedź! Nie tracąc ani chwili, oboje ostrożnie umieścili maleństwa w prowizorycznych transporterach. Niedźwiedź, stojąc nieopodal, obserwował każdy ich ruch, wyraźnie czujny, lecz spokojny. Hanna delikatnie podniosła ostatnie ze stworzeń i, pełna zaufania, podała je do pyska zwierzęcia. Niedźwiedź zamknął szczęki z niezwykłą ostrożnością, otulając maleństwo zaskakującą delikatnością.
