Ready for a Year Outdoors
A guy stands ready for a camping adventure in front of a shopping mall, dwarfed by a comically oversized backpack towering over him as if he’s about to move into the wilderness permanently. Campers usually need essentials like a tent, sleeping bag, food, and water.
But with a bag that colossal, he looks set to bring along the kitchen sink, a month’s supply of snacks, maybe a few luxury items like a portable espresso maker, and enough clothes to avoid laundry for weeks. Sometimes the excitement of preparing for the outdoors sees enthusiasm translate into packing everything but the house itself just to be “prepared.”
