Erykah Badu – 2023 Met Gala – Marni
Erykah Badu hatte einen auffälligen Auftritt bei der Met Gala 2023. Die kultige Singer-Songwriterin aus Dallas, die für ihre gefühlvolle Musik und ihren einzigartigen Stil bekannt ist, wählte ein kühnes, komplett weißes Ensemble, eine Marni-Sonderanfertigung von Francesco Risso. Dieses atemberaubende Kleidungsstück wurde aus 90.000 Metern speziell zugeschnittenem Garn gefertigt und mit handgenähten Perlen und Kristallen verziert, die eine außergewöhnliche Handwerkskunst darstellen.
Erykahs Look wurde durch eine wallende weiße Perücke vervollständigt, die ihr Gesicht teilweise verdeckte und ihr einen Hauch von Mystik verlieh. Begleitet wurde sie von Puma Curry, ihrer Tochter, die eine Kollektion des Kreativdirektors von Marni vorführte. Gemeinsam bildeten sie ein stilvolles Duo.
