Nach der Geburt ihrer Kinder und einer Auszeit vom intensiven Training entschied sie sich, ihre Fitness wieder in den Vordergrund zu stellen. Mit einem gezielten Fitness- und Ernährungsprogramm schaffte sie es, 14 Kilogramm abzunehmen.
Van Almsick nutzt ihre sportliche Disziplin, um wieder in Form zu kommen, was es ihr sicherlich einfacher gemacht haben dürfte. Ihre Geschichte zeigt, dass es nie zu spät ist, gesunde Gewohnheiten wieder aufzugreifen und für das eigene Wohlbefinden zu arbeiten, um jung und fit zu bleiben.
