Am folgenden Tag fand Marian einen Brief in ihrem Briefkasten. Es war eine Einladung zur Polizeistation, die sie überraschend darin vorfand. Sie ahnte, dass es mit dem Fall zusammenhing, aber eine solche Anerkennung hatte sie nie erwartet.

Die Station war festlich geschmückt, und sogar ein Kuchen stand bereit, um ihre heldenhafte Tat zu feiern. Besonders bewegend war der Moment, als eine Polizistin, die sich zuvor als Bettlerin verkleidet hatte, auf sie zutrat. “Dank Ihnen konnten wir das alles erreichen. Wir schulden Ihnen unseren tiefsten Dank”, sagte sie mit aufrichtiger Wertschätzung und einem herzlichen Lächeln!
