Schulterzuckend drehte Marian sich schließlich um und machte sich auf den langen Weg nach Hause. Was normalerweise eine kurze Strecke von wenigen Minuten war, hatte sich durch ihr Verweilen zu einem ausgedehnten Fußmarsch entwickelt. Das war wohl die gerechte Strafe dafür, dass sie zu neugierig gewesen war und sich entschlossen hatte, mehrere Stationen früher aus dem Zug zu steigen, um jemanden zu beobachten.
Mit einem Gefühl des Scheiterns drückte Marian ihre Einkäufe fester an sich, als sie die Stufen zum Zug erklomm. Was sie allerdings nicht ahnen konnte, war, dass das nächste Abenteuer bereits auf sie wartete.
