Die Schwangere von der Straße
Als Marian den Laden verließ und die Bettlerin bemerkte, fühlte sie plötzlich eine merkwürdige Verbundenheit zu der Frau auf der Straße. Sie stellte ihre volle Einkaufstasche auf den Boden, um die niedergeschlagene Gestalt genauer zu betrachten. Diese Frau, die von allen übersehen wurde, weckte Marians tiefes Mitgefühl, was sie selbst überraschte.
Normalerweise beachtete Marian Obdachlose kaum, denn die Stadt war voller Menschen, die in schwierigen Verhältnissen lebten. Doch der sichtbare Babybauch der Bettlerin machte diese Begegnung besonders traurig. Sie stach aus der Menge heraus, und Marian wusste, dass sie nicht einfach weitergehen konnte, ohne etwas zu tun.
