The Weeknd as The Nutty Professor
The Halloween look worn by Abel Tesfaye (also known as The Weeknd) in 2020 was a masterpiece of commitment, paying tribute to Eddie Murphy’s character, Professor Sherman Klump, from the movie “The Nutty Professor.” The costume was rather unique and elaborate as he used complex, hyperrealistic prosthetics that completely altered the star’s physique. A massive amount of professional-grade makeup was applied, transforming the artist’s face and body.
Abel, known for his hits “Popular” and “Blinding Lights,” first achieved attention when his songs were uploaded to YouTube anonymously in 2010. Later, global recognition was secured following the release of his breakthrough mixtapes, such as House of Balloons in 2011.
