The British Celebs With One Foot In The Grave And A Martini
Julia McKenzie – Born in 1941
Julia McKenzie has always had that rare mix of warmth and wit that lights up every stage she steps on. She first made her name in the West End, dazzling audiences in musicals like “Guys and Dolls,” “Follies,” and “Sweeney Todd,” earning multiple Olivier Awards along the way.
Television viewers fell in love with her all over again in the sitcom “Fresh Fields” during the 1980s, where her comedic timing was perfection. In 2009, she took on the legendary role of Miss Marple in Agatha Christie’s “Marple” series, bringing intelligence and charm to the part. Julia’s career has been nothing short of quietly extraordinary.
