The British Celebs With One Foot In The Grave And A Martini
Joanna Lumley – Born in 1946
Few stars embody British elegance and humour quite like Joanna Lumley. She first caught attention as Purdey in “The New Avengers” during the 1970s, thanks to her sharp bob and fearless attitude, which made her a TV icon. But it was “Absolutely Fabulous” in the 1990s that turned her into a legend. As Patsy Stone, she delivered champagne-soaked chaos with unmatched wit and style, earning BAFTA Awards and global fame.
Beyond acting, she became a passionate advocate for causes like the Gurkha Justice Campaign and animal welfare. Joanna’s charm, confidence, and effortless cool have made her one of Britain’s most adored cultural treasures.
