Walt Disney – $90 Million, Holmby Hills
No list of deluxe houses would be complete without the Holmby Hills home on the property of Walt Disney! Upon his death, Disney’s wife, Lilly, continued living on the estate until her death. Then, it was taken over by the Walt Disney Foundation and later by Gabriel Brener. Walt’s daughter wanted to remove the barn from the property, so it was taken apart and relocated to Griffith Park, where it now serves as a museum. Brener continued the construction of his Carolwood Estate, spanning an impressive 35K square feet. His home boasts 17 bathrooms and 8 bedrooms, mahogany doors 3 inches thick, and ceilings 12 feet high!
