Szczeniak, który nim nie był
“To szop”, powiedział lekarz, a Jonathan zamarł. Szop? Przecież był pewien, że uratował małego psa. Niedowierzanie wypisane na jego twarzy zdradzało szok, jaki właśnie przeżywał. Cisza, która zapadła, była gęsta od napięcia. Gdyby sytuacja była inna, może i można by się uśmiechnąć, ale teraz nie było w tym nic zabawnego. Jak mógł nie zauważyć różnicy? Jak dał się tak oszukać własnym oczom? Nie zdążył odpowiedzieć sobie na te pytania, gdy weterynarz podjął temat, a jego słowa niosły coraz więcej niepokoju. Choć głos miał spokojny, treść była jak ciężar, który przygniatał Jonathana. Pytań w jego głowie było mnóstwo, ale wiedział, że musi skupić się na tym, co nieodwracalne – konsekwencjach tej fatalnej pomyłki.
