Kamala Harris created history when she was appointed as the Vice-President of the United States, and it made us curious about her personal life, particularly her marital status. The second lady is married to lawyer Douglas Emhoff. Interestingly they met on a blind date and, after dating for a year, Douglas went on his knees to confess his feelings.
Within months of their engagement, this couple wed in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family in 2014. So while Kamala’s political career is on the rise, she’s equally lucky when it comes to her love life. Douglas even discontinued his law practice to support his wife and fulfill his role as the second gentleman of the country.
