Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman – 50 years
Paul Newman’s death was certainly traumatic for his family, friends, and fans, but after enjoying a lucrative career and a 50-year marriage with his wife Joanne Woodward, Newman was no doubt ripe for the final chapter in his life.
After featuring together in the movie, The Long Hot Summer, the pair was married in 1954 and soon enjoying the dividends of being Hollywood’s favorite couple. Amazingly, their union had prevailed for half a century.
