Nehemiah Persoff – Age 99
Nehemiah Persoff relocated to the ‘Big Apple’ in pursuit of his dream of becoming a successful actor. He started off way out of the industry as an electrician for the subway system. Eventually, he managed a break into the entertainment industry and appeared in Yentl and Some Like It Hot. His career peaked in the ’50s going into the ’60s, and he even appeared opposite other great legends of the time including Barbra Streisand.
He then went into retirement to become a painter. We’re sure he certainly didn’t get bored along the way!
