Vera Lynn forever remained in the hearts of the World War II soldiers as the beautiful lass who warmed their hearts during the coldest of times with her beautiful face and her enchanting songs. Her great efforts to bring joy did not go unnoticed and she got awarded a British War Medal and is also an official Dame of the UK. She started singing at seven and left school to tour at the age of 11. These days she isn’t singing as much as she used to and instead, she dedicates her time to helping women battling cancer and children with disabilities.
