Cybill Shepherd kann, wenn sie denn so möchte, auf mehr als nur eine erfolgreiche Karriere zurückblicken. Sie hat in ihrer Heimatstadt, Memphis, einige Preise für ihre Schönheit einheimsen können und wurde letztendlich durch ihre Rollen in Produktionen wie Taxi Driver, The Heartbreak Kid und Moonlighting bekannt. Auch in der Serie Cybill war sie zwischen 1995 und 1998 zu sehen.
Ihr Leben war von Liebeskummer allerdings nicht befreit, da sie bereits zwei Scheidungen hinter sich gelassen hat und in 2015 sogar eine Hochzeit absagte. Ein Gerücht machte auch die Runde, dass sie mit Elvis Presley ausging, ein Anhaltspunkt dafür ist, dass sie in ihrer Biografie von ihm schrieb.
