Victoria Principal setzte ihre ersten Fußstapfen durch Schauspielerei und auch als Model, aber ihren Durchbruch in der Schauspielwelt erreichte sie erst mit Dallas (1978). Sie spielte für ganze neun Jahre die Rolle als Pamela, bis sie diese verließ und ihre eigenen Produktionsfirma gründete.
Sie hat mittlerweile ein Konto was bis zu 250$ Millionen schwer ist, was es wohl sehr einfach macht sich um die eigene Haut zu kümmern, vor allem wenn man eine eigene Pflegeproduktlinie hat namens Principal Secret. Die Investition hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt, weil sich das Ergebnis sehen lassen kann.
