Angela Bassett speelde Tina Turner in What’s Love Got to do With It, waarvoor zij een Golden Globe en een Oscarnominatie ontving. Andere bekende rollen die zij speelde waren in Malcolm X, Notorious, The Jacksons: An American Dream en zij speelde Rosa Parks in The Rosa Parks’ Story.
Angela zet zich in voor goede doelen, zoals het ondersteunen van evenementen voor kinderen met diabetes. De superactrice is nog steeds bezig en zal te zien zijn in Gunpowder Milkshake, een film uit 2020. De 62 jaar oude dame is nog steeds oogverblindend knap en heeft een uitstraling waar velen jaloers op zijn.
