Emma Coburn – Hindernisläuferin mit Herz und Rekorden
Emma Coburn ist eine der stärksten Stimmen und Beine im Hindernislauf. Die 3000-Meter-Strecke ist ihr Terrain – und dort schreibt sie regelmäßig Geschichte. Bei den Olympischen Spielen 2016 sorgte sie für Furore, als sie als erste US-Amerikanerin in dieser Disziplin Bronze holte. Dabei stellte sie nicht nur eine persönliche Bestzeit auf, sondern auch einen neuen Kontinental-Rekord.
2017 setzte sie noch einen drauf und gewann Gold bei der Weltmeisterschaft, 2019 folgte Silber. Ihr Laufstil ist technisch präzise, ihr Taktikgespür beeindruckend. Trainiert wird sie von Ehemann Joe Bosshard – gemeinsam ziehen sie auch ihre Tochter groß, die mithilfe einer Leihmutter geboren wurde. Emma steht für Ausdauer, Mut und moderne Familienwerte.
