Ellen Hoog – Hockeyqueen mit Herz und Überblick
Ellen Hoog zählt zu den ganz Großen im internationalen Feldhockey. Die gebürtige Niederländerin rückte 2004 ins Nationalteam auf und war seither aus der Formation kaum wegzudenken. Mit ihrem feinen Gespür für Spielsituationen, technischer Präzision und Führungskompetenz führte sie das niederländische Team zu zwei Olympiasiegen und zahlreichen Titeln bei Europa- und Weltmeisterschaften.
Über 80 Einsätze im Nationaltrikot unterstreichen ihre Bedeutung als Konstante im Team. Nach dem Rücktritt vom Leistungssport schlug sie ein neues Kapitel auf: Sie studierte Medien und Kommunikation und fand Erfüllung in ihrer Rolle als Mutter. Ellen Hoog bleibt eine Persönlichkeit, die Sportlichkeit, Intelligenz und emotionale Stärke auf einzigartige Weise vereint.
