OLIVIA JONES: Die Queen von St. Pauli
Wenn von Olivia Jones die Rede ist, denkt man sofort an schrille Outfits, beeindruckendes Make-up und eine schillernde Persönlichkeit. Die Künstlerin hat es geschafft, die Travestieszene ins Rampenlicht zu rücken und ist eine feste Größe in Hamburgs Stadtteil St. Pauli.
Doch hinter der glamourösen Fassade steckt Oliver Knöbel, der privat ganz anders ist. Ohne die Verwandlung in Olivia lebt er ein eher beschauliches Leben. Der Weg zur Bühnenfigur erfordert allerdings viel Arbeit – Stunden vor dem Spiegel sind nötig, bevor Olivia in ihrer ganzen Pracht durch die Straßen flaniert. Ihr kennt sie vielleicht als Diva, doch der Mensch dahinter ist bewundernswert.
