Red Carpet Roulette: Which Celebs Slayed and Which Ones Failed?
Kendall Jenner’s Risqué Met Gala Revelation
Kendall Jenner wasn’t playing it safe at the 2017 Met Gala. The theme that year was “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” and Kendall embodied the “in-between” with a daring, barely-there black dress by La Perla. The long, asymmetrical gown featured a sky-high slit that teased a glimpse of leg, while strategic cut-outs left little to the imagination.
For the fashion world’s biggest night, she made a statement that was both audacious and undeniably unforgettable. Attending the Met Gala is a coveted honor, and Kendall, a rising supermodel at the time, secured her invitation by a combination of her runway prowess and social media fame.
