Cette photo de 2019 au camping de Many Glacier capture le rare moment où une ourse noire cannelle et ses oursons ont exploré avec curiosité les hamacs du camping. Heureusement, les campings fournissent souvent des conteneurs anti-ours pour le stockage de la nourriture, ce qui est crucial car ces prédateurs de sommet sont attirés par les odeurs de nourriture.
C’est une vue incroyable mais aussi un peu un signal d’alerte en matière de sécurité. Les animaux sauvages errant dans les campings peuvent être dangereux. En Amérique du Nord, les attaques d’ours sont assez rares mais peuvent tout de même arriver quand des humains croisent leur chemin par accident. La meilleure des précautions est ainsi de les éviter autant que possible.
