De Grammy-avond van 1998 werd opgeluisterd door de kenmerkende stijl van Lil’ Kim toen de rapper en mode-icoon de rode loper op stapte. Ze staat bekend om haar gedurfde sartoriale keuzes en haar hit “Lady Marmalade” en heeft altijd een statement willen maken.
Voor het evenement koos Lil’ Kim een opvallend ensemble dat net zo sprankelend was als haar persoonlijkheid. Ze droeg een top van doorschijnend gaas gecombineerd met een glinsterende legging met hoge taille die haar rondingen omhelsde en een zwarte, strapless bustier om de glans in balans te brengen. De look werd geaccentueerd met lange, zwarte avondhandschoenen en een diamanten choker, die een mix van jaren 90 hip-hop glam en oude Hollywood elegantie uitstraalde.
