Onder de fonkelende lichten van de Grammy Awards van 1975 maakte het enigmatische powerkoppel John Lennon en Yoko Ono hun aanwezigheid bekend met hun verschillende persoonlijke stijlen die net zo moeiteloos harmoniseerden als hun gezamenlijke werk. John, de rocklegende, stond zelfverzekerd naast Yoko, een artieste wiens eigen avant-gardistische expressies voor opschudding hadden gezorgd.
John’s kleding was een knipoog naar zijn rock roots, compleet met een klassiek zwart pak met een “Elvis” speldje, een leuk eerbetoon aan de King of Rock and Roll. Yoko’s look was een visioen in het wit, haar jurk was vloeiend en etherisch en belichaamde de vrede en rust waar zij en John symbolen voor waren geworden.
