Joe Lauzon: Mixed Martial Artist, $500K
You might know Joe Lauzon from his mixed martial arts career, but did you know he has a bachelor’s degree in computer science? The athlete graduated in 2007 and worked as a network administrator in Cambridge before quitting to pursue his passion for martial arts.
Lauzon is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and since making his in-ring debut in 2004, he has participated in 43 matches, winning 28. The fighter has made a handsome amount of money for all his work in the sport, with over $500K in his bank accounts. Still, if he chooses to retire from the octagon, he can return to working as a computer scientist, where he can still earn lucrative paychecks.
