Marco Borsato begon zijn carrière in de Soundmixshow, met snorretje en al. Hij vertrouwde de verkeerde gladjanussen, waardoor zijn onderneming failliet ging en Marco nagenoeg aan de grond zat. Hij kwam er weer bovenop, alleen om geveld te worden door een stempoliep. Toch heeft hij inmiddels weer een vermogen van meer dan 5 miljoen euro opgebouwd. Echte sterren komen altijd terug. Zijn villa in Blaricum heeft een waarde van maar liefst 3,5 miljoen euro.
