Folorunsho Alakija – Estimated $1.7 Billion
Folorunsho Alakija is one of the wealthiest people in Africa. She took secretarial studies at Pittman’s Central College in London, as well as fashion design at the American College and the Central School of Fashion, both in London as well. In 1993, she received a license to explore possible oil sources in a massive Nigerian land, along with Texaco.
