J.K. Rowling and Neil Murray – Together Since 2001
In 2001, J.K. Rowling, the celebrated author of the “Harry Potter” series, found her magical connection with Dr. Neil Murray, a Scottish anesthetist. Introduced through mutual friends, their relationship blossomed, leading to a private wedding on December 26, 2001, held in the library of Rowling’s Perthshire home, Killiechassie House.
The couple has two children: a son, David, born in 2003, and a daughter, Mackenzie, born in 2005. Despite J. K.’s global fame, they have maintained a low-profile family life in Edinburgh. An interesting tidbit is that their wedding was so secretive that even some close friends were unaware until after the ceremony.
