Nikki Haley and Michael Haley – Together Since 1989
Nikki Haley, known for her leadership as both U.N. Ambassador and South Carolina’s Governor, met her future husband Michael back in 1989 on her very first weekend at Clemson University. She was 17, he was 19, and they clicked instantly. By 1996, the pair were married in a unique celebration honoring both her Sikh roots and his Methodist background, with dual ceremonies in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
They later welcomed two kids, Rena and Nalin, who’ve grown up watching their parents balance love, family, and service. Michael, a National Guard officer, was deployed to Afghanistan in 2013 and then to Africa in 2023.
