Tom Ford, the creative genius who redefined Gucci, met the love of his life, Richard Buckley, a respected fashion editor, at a 1986 fashion show. The connection was electric—the former has even said he knew within seconds that the latter was “the one.”
From that moment, they built a life as iconic as any fashion legacy, supporting each other’s careers and bagging luxurious homes in London, New York, and Santa Fe. In 2012, their family grew with the arrival of their son, Alexander “Jack” Buckley Ford, born through surrogacy. After a quiet wedding in 2014, they continued their journey together until Richard’s passing in 2021.
