Elisabeth Shue, the star of classics like “The Karate Kid” and “Adventures in Babysitting,” found her perfect match in Davis Guggenheim, the brilliant director of “An Inconvenient Truth.” They married in 1994, sparking a partnership that spans both family and film.
Together, they have three kids: Miles, born in 1997; Stella, born in 2001; and Agnes, born in 2006. One of their coolest collaborations was on the movie “Gracie,” inspired by Elisabeth’s own love of soccer. Davis directed, she starred, and the whole family got involved—a true Guggenheim-Shue production. Balancing Hollywood with family life, they’ve turned teamwork into an art form.
