Dal matrimonio con Teddy Reno, Rita ha avuto due figli: Alessandro Merk e George Merk.
Il primo ha sviluppato una profonda passione per la politica e ha deciso di dedicarsi al giornalismo, diventando responsabile di una testata web importante. George, invece, ha seguito le orme della mamma lanciandosi nella musica, ottenendo un buon riconoscimento all’estero. Ci fa piacere vedere che anche i figli abbiano fatto strada!
