Bob Dole: Politician, $40 Million
Bob Dole’s journey toward a lucrative political career started in 1950 when he ran for a Kansas House of Representatives seat. While he only served two years, Dole managed to tap several committees like military affairs, taxation, and fuel issues.
To further his political endeavors, Dole eventually moved on to running for the Senate and even went as far as vying for the vice-presidential and presidential posts in the late seventies and eighties but failed in the latter. Regardless, Dole shouldn’t feel too bad since he’s managed to establish an impressive fortune of $40 million over the years, which immensely helped with his medical bills right before his demise.
