Yara Shahidi, la jeune militante et actrice reconnue pour ses rôles dans “Black-ish” et “Grown-ish”, a marqué les esprits lors du Met Gala de 2023. Elle a su mêler avec élégance des éléments d’archives et personnalisés dans sa tenue signée Jean-Paul Gaultier. On peut y voir l’essence d’un mannequin moderne tout en rendant hommage aux icônes façonnées par Karl Lagerfeld.
Sa tenue, agrémentée de bijoux en diamants de chez Cartier, est un vrai spectacle de mode. Son styliste, Jason Bolden, a lui-même pris soin de choisir le corset. C’est une pièce de haute couture de 2008 créée par Jean-Paul Gaultier en hommage aux corsets de Lagerfeld dans les années 2000.
