Les montagnes russes en bois de Disney, bien que plus rares que leurs homologues en acier, offrent des sensations mémorables. La plus connue d’entre elle est “Big Thunder Mountain Railroad”, qui a ouvert ses portes à Disneyland en 1979, suivi de versions dans d’autres parcs Disney. Cette attraction est célèbre pour son thème de la ruée vers l’or du Far West et ses descentes et virages exaltants.
Une autre mention notable est “Mine Train Through Nature’s Wonderland”, un prédécesseur de Big Thunder Mountain, qui a eu lieu de 1960 à 1977. Il est amusant de voir un clown, considéré comme une figure de joie et d’humour, avoir l’air si peu amusé sur une attraction à sensations fortes.
