El ícono del fútbol Diego Maradona tuvo dificultades para mantener el peso por años. Esto fue a pesar de haber sido uno de los mejores atletas de su tiempo. Frustrado, se inscribió en una clínica de reducción de peso en 2009, para bajar de peso. En 2015, se sometió a una cirugía de bypass gástrico por segunda vez para reducir su peso entre 66 y 77 libras.
Las fuentes dicen que Maradona está sano y en gran forma en estos días. Sigue trabajando en el campo del fútbol, ya que el club mexicano Dorados lo contrató como su entrenador en septiembre de 2018.
