Alan Kalter: TV Host, $5 Million
They say that the rich amass their wealth by having multiple income streams, and the late Alan Kalter, who was worth $5 million, proved that was indeed a brilliant way of creating wealth. Despite having a lucrative salary as a presenter on ‘Late Show With David Letterman,’ Kalter would still take on side gigs as a voice-over artist and host various TV and award shows for extra income.
Yet, even when he made more than the average American, this broadcaster ensured that he continued to live modestly, saving and investing his disposable income. Now, that’s surely a wise man and one that we could all learn a lot from.
