Een Langzaam Protest
Om haar ongenoegen kenbaar te maken, koos Cora ervoor haar vertrek zo langzaam en theatraal mogelijk te maken. Zij begon zich moeizaam voort te bewegen, met een overdreven gekreun bij elke stap, alsof zij haar leeftijd benadrukte. Haar bewegingen waren zo tergend langzaam dat de tijd bijna leek stil te staan. Zij hoopte dat dit niet alleen de passagiers, maar ook de bemanning zou doen beseffen hoe schandalig het was om een oudere dame op deze wijze te behandelen. Vooral de onvriendelijke stewardess zou dit als een persoonlijke afkeuring moeten ervaren.
