Tom Hanks is één van de hoogst betaalde acteurs in Hollywood, die velen heeft betoverd met zijn persoonlijkheid en positieve uitstraling. Het feit dat hij $350 miljoen waard is voegt alleen maar meer toe aan zijn aantrekkingskracht. Het is niet moeilijk om zo’n fortuin te behouden als je een goede vastgoedbelegger, wat Tom Hanks zeker weten is.
Zijn grootste investering was zijn $26 miljoen villa, die hij heeft gekocht van producenten Kathleen Kennedy en Frank Marshall – één van de duurste transacties van 2010. Het is een kubus van drie verdiepingen hoog met een halfronde achtertuin. Alleen al het adembenemende uitzicht is al dat geld zeker waard!
