Die beliebte Moderatorin konnte vor allem mit ihrer eigenen Show „The Ellen DeGeneres Sow“ große Erfolge feiern. Auch hat sie ihr eigenes Plattenlabel und arbeitet als Schriftstellerin. Somit hat sie sich auch ein großes Vermögen angeeignet, welches sie in verschiedene Immobilien investiert.
So hat sie eine bezaubernde Steinvilla in Montecito für 36 Millionen Euro gekauft, welche mit ihrem mediterranen Charme besticht. Mit Kaminen in den sechs Schlafzimmern und auch dem Rundbogen am Eingang ist diese Immobilie wie aus einem Märchen entsprungen. Als sie diese 2018 wieder verkaufte konnte sie nur noch einen Preis von knapp 28 Millionen Euro erzielen.
