Gerard Joling begon als model en was in videoclips te zien, bijvoorbeeld in She’s a Liar van de Dolly Dots in 1984. Hij werkte vooral als danser en deed in 1985 mee aan de Soundmixshow. Hij won daar slechts de 3de plaats, maar scoorde door zijn directe populariteit diverse hits in hetzelfde jaar.

Hij werd ouder en begon zich steeds meer aan te stellen in irritante TV programma’s met Gordon, waardoor zijn muzikale carrière naar de achtergrond verdween. Spijtig, want in zijn hoogtij jaren was de zanger één van de beteren in zijn genre. Hij hield het langer vol in De Toppers dan Froger en Gordon, waardoor zijn vermogen een tikkie hoger is uitgevallen. Zijn woning in Aalsmeer is gebouwd op een flinke lap grond van 1000 m2 en heeft een waarde van €1,1 miljoen.
